Department of Social Work
The Department of Social Work at City University has been designed to provide an understanding of human diversity and society and prepare students for successful careers in Social Work. Using a curriculum that concentrates on generalist social work practice, the primary mission of the undergraduate Social Work program is to prepare students for beginning professional-level social work practice. The program’s curriculum is dedicated to the idea that the war-ravaged citizens of our communities particularly those who are vulnerable and marginalized serve the care and dignity they need to live full and fulfilling lives.
Career Opportunities in Social Work
The department’s mission is to provide an inclusive social work education that is value-driven, research-informed, culturally responsive, and academically rigorous, which links theory with practice.
